The purpose of this congregation shall be to affirm and celebrate the gracious presence and activity of God by preaching the Word of God, by the administration of the Sacraments, and by the religious instruction of all its members, according to the confessional standards of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, and to foster Christian fellowship in this congregation and to find ways of serving our community.
This congregation acknowledges and accepts without reservation:
All the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God.
All Symbolical Books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a true and unadulterated statement and exposition of the Word of God. These Symbolical Books are: The three Ecumenical Creeds (The Apostles' Creed, The Nicence Creed, The Athanasian Creed); The Augsburg Confession; Apology of the Augsburg Confession; The Smalcald Articles; Treatise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope; The Small Catechism; The Large Catechism; Formula of Concord.
No doctrine or practice in conflict or inconsistent with the above norms of our faith and life shall be taught or tolerated in this congregation.
